Practice IOs and Paper 2
Aside from reading I, Too by Langston Hughes and preparing the reports, we discussed the requirements for the individual oral and the paper 2. The requirements for the individual oral require 1 language extract and 1 literature body of work. We have to connect both to a global issue and segment our introduction, body, and conclusion according to the time limits. We looked at Sylvia Plath and Dove advertisements to practice connecting the works and the global issues together. We also learned how to process and read poetry for analysis, and we also emphasized the authorial choices, the technique, language use, and the style in the work. I am anxious about the individual oral, but the best I can do is prepare and do my best, and understand my chosen works.
